Cape Town, ‘the mother city’, is the oldest city in South Africa. A visit to Cape Town is not complete without a visit up Table Mountain, a day tour to Cape of Good Hope or take a boat ride to Robben Island, the former home of Nelson Mandela.
Must do's in Cape Town
Take a stroll through the historical streets of ‘De Waterkant” and Bo-Kaap, take a coffee at ‘La Petite Tarte’ and go shopping in Cape Quarter or the Waterfront.
For beach lovers, go to Clifton or Camps Bay, where you’ll find the best beaches in town. Don’t forget to drink a sundowner at ‘The Bungalow’ and take a stroll down Camps Bay promenade. If the wind is right, you could fly off Lion’s Head with a qualified tandem paraglide pilot, and land on the beach in time for your sundowner.
Cape Town has a lot of high quality boutique hotels, self-catering villa’s & guesthouses. We recommend not to stay in the larger hotels, but to choose something unique.

We think Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has a beautiful location & view, wonderful climate, culture, good food and a very pleasant atmosphere. Africa Junkie gave us good tips and organised everything in the short time frame we had.’
Being the first time I travelled to Cape Town, I considered it one of the most beautiful places in the world. For 12 days I had the opportunity to visit some places e.g. the Waterfront, Table Mountain, Cape Agulhas and some beautiful beaches on the way. Thanks to Africa Junkie!
